About Me

Alice is an artist, educator and academic researcher. She works in participatory practice-based research. With participants her artistic practice explores notions of identity, intimacy, relationship and communication. Interactive technologies connect video, performance and sculptural artworks in specific locations, navigating through mediated, actual and imagined landscapes. The work assumes a dialogical space, positioning the audience, artist and artworks as both participants and observers, poised somewhere between immersion and more self-conscious, knowing states. Such embodiments seek to understand individuals’ life experiences and offers space for conversation, contemplation and connection.

Alice was awarded a full Practice-based Ph.D. scholarship in 'Digital Performance' and successfully completed her PhD in 2021: 'The Angel of Art Sees The Future Even When She Flies Backwards: Enabling Deep Relational Encounter Through Participatory Practice-Based Research.
